Hi Peter & Angie,
This is Stewart and Brenda HEATHER of NB 'POUYRI'. Good website, nice pictures and thanks for the mention in your log. Typical of a Scorpio but I spotted an error in the title of your picture for Jan 5. It describes the lock you?re in as Shipton Weir Lock when it should be Aynho Weir Lock.
My eMail address is pouyri@ntlworld.com and home telephone number 023 9235 3590. We live in Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire with spare rooms should you need a base for a night or two. We?re also handy for a bed prior to an early morning cross Channel Ferry from Portsmouth.
Hopefully you?ll not need this but a chum, Mark Paris of NB Helene of Troy at Thrupp, is a narrowboat engineer-cum-repair man who will respond to callouts. His number is 078 6071 1003. He is selling our boat for us. Good lad. Builds sterling engines in his spare time!
Lovely to have met you. Hope to met you again. Have a good trip.
Stewart and Brenda
Thanks for your comments - Shipton corrected to Aynho. Hopefully we will not require the services of Mark, but we have put his details in our "Useful Info List".
Regards
Peter

Hello Angela and Peter,
I finally connected to your web site - not sure why I could not do so previously?
It is very interesting and you are clearly having a wonderful time - I am jealous !!
I will read your daily log a little more thoroughly - it is fascinating, the Trent sounds like a real challenge! Good photos, I was in the UK when the Ferrybridge Cooling Towers were built, and they had a disastrous collapse, our company was involved in the subsequent investigation.
I will be in the UK 23rd to 29th Sept and hope to see you - I will check your web site several times, however will go for a final update on 5th Sep - hope that it will predict your location for the 23rd.
Best wishes - Vic

hi peter and angela
great to read about your adventures on the cut, it makes us desperate to get out there and join you, but we have to wait two years until richard retires at 55 until then we will continue to read about yours and snecklifters, and any one else's travels to keep us going until we get our boat.

Hi Angela and Peter: You sound like you are having quite an experience !!! Lots of history at a very leisurely pace. Seamus and I will be going to the cottage next week for most of the summer. The temperature has been quite high and humid for this early. We have never wished for air conditioning at the cottage before.
regards, Pat Simone
Delighted to hear that you are following our travels. We're having a super time. I don't have Pat Harrison's e-mail address so perhaps you could let her know the website address, in case she's interested. How do you like the newest crew member?!!! Obtained from a Rescue Shelter, Jason's a lab X and is such fun. He hasn't yet ventured into the water but am sure that moment is not far away. Please give Seamus a hug from me and enjoy the summer - please send us some of your sunshine, it seems to rain every other day here!

You MUST include the Weaver Navigation in your plans - it is beautiful. Even the canals around Wigan and Chorley have some very pretty stretches and from the helmsman's point of view the Wigan Flight isn't at all bad!! Peter and Angela
